Chinees actress Cecilia Cheung Pak-Chi is an award-winning Hong Kong actress and cantopop singer. She's daughter of a Cantonese father and a half Cantonese/half British mother. She has two younger brothers, an elder half-sister and a younger half-brother from her father's side. She was sent to Melbourne in Australia, in order to live with her aunt after the divorce of her parents when she was nine years old. She studied at the Camberwell Girls Grammar School and has graduated at the RMIT Holmes College.


She is the ex-wife of actor Nicholas Tse and former daughter in law of Patrick Tse and Deborah Lee Po-Lai. She began dating with actor Nicholas Tse early 2002, but they break up later that year, when he returned to his ex-girlfriend singer Faye Wong. Despite that the couple married at a secret wedding ceremony in the Philippines on 18 september 2006. Their marriage lasts for 5 years until they divorce on 19 august 2011. The couple have two sons Lucas who was born on 02-9-2007 and Quintus Tse who was born on 12-05-2010. She had also something with Cantopop singer Leon Lai and Singaporean entrepreneur Earn Chen. She was also photographed with Chinese entertainment magnate Sun Donghai in Singapore, but an romantic involvement is unknown. There were rumours that she had an relation with Hong Kong male singers Daniel Chan and Jordan Chan.

Her celibrity career began in 1998, when she accepted the offer to appear in a TV commercial advertising of lemon tea, where she caught the attention of Stephen Chow after shooting the ad. He offered her an role in his movie and she made her movie debut as a young nightclub hostess in Stephen Chow's movie ''King of Comedy'' (1999). She also won the award for ''Best Newcomer'' at the Hong Kong Film Awards in 1999 for her role in ''Fly Me to Polaris'' (1999). She also launched her singing career in 1999 with her first Cantopop album ''Any Weather''. She is considered as "Sing girl" and actress who first receives media attention through starring alongside Stephen Chow while she later went to her own successful career. 

She won the ''Best Actress'' Award at the 2004 Hong Kong Film Awards for her role in Derek Yee's romantic drama ''Lost in Time (2003)''. She played a young woman who lost her fiancé, due a traffic accident. He left her as a grieving single mother struggling to make ends meet. She was also involved in a high profile sex scandal with Hong Kong actor Edison Chen in 2008. There were already rumors surfaced about her underground relationship with Edison Chen in the begining of 2003. However, the media were not able to prove the rumors, thus the rumors quickly disappeared, until the moment of the infamous racy photos incident in 2008.

Action Movie Career


She made her action movie debut as Nancy in this story about street racer Sky (played by Ekin Cheng) who wants to follow in the foot steps of his father, in order to become a street racing god in ''The Legend of Speed'' (1999).


She plays Saori in this story where Macy (played by Kelly Chen), is supposed to marry with her Japanese boyfriend Takahashi (played by Toru Nakamura) during a trip to Las Vegas, but he leaves her at the altar instead of that ''Tokio Raiders'' (2010). She decides to fly to Japan together with her friend Yung (played by Ekin Cheng), in order to find him after hearing that Takhashi is returned to Tokyo. They decide to ask help of detective Lam (played by Tony Leung Chiu-wai) from China, who lives in Tokyo now. Lam and his right-hand woman Saori come into action and learn that the situation of Takahashi a bit more complicated is, than anyone has imagined.


She is a player of Team Moustache in this story where young Shaolin follower Mighty Steel Leg Sing (played by Stephen Chow) is reunited with his discourage brothers in ''Shaolin Soccer'' (2001). The brothers form a soccer team by using their martial art skills in order to take their advantage in an tournament.


She plays Dawn in this story where the immortals of Omei life between heaven and the earth at the highest mountain range of Zu in ''Zu Warriors'' (2001). The kingdom is in danger because immortal renegade Amnesia (played by Kelly Lin), wants to take control over Zu and all the world. The leader of the Zu's is White Eyebrows (played by Sammo Kam-Bo Hung) who sends his best fight experts, in order to defeat Amnesia. She is hiding at the legendary and almost myth Blood Cavern in order to make her powers stronger. The warriors try to find a way to destroy Amnesia with ancient and powerful mystical swords, hoping to be free of the threat.

She plays Bai Yutong in this story about Judge Bao Zheng (played by Anthony Wong Chau-Sang) and his group of heroic helpers, who solve cases together while hunting on criminals in ''Cat and Mouse'' (2003). Court officer Zhan Zhao (played by Andy Lau) discovers a plot in order to kill Judge Bao (played by Anthony Wong). He meets a young boy named Bai during holiday who turns out to be a woman. Zhan tries to recruit her for help in order to prevent the murder of Judge Bao.

She plays Inspector Lee Fung Yee in this story about monk turned body-builder and exotic dancer Big (played by Andy Lau) who has the gift to see into people's lives, to see through "cause and consequence" in ''Running on Karma'' (2003). He meets female cop Lee Fung Yee and uses his gift to help her capture an extremely dangerous murderer.


She plays teenage girl Black Phoenix who acquires by accident martial arts skills of the White Dragon in ''The White Dragon'' (2004). She discovers that  famed assassin, Chicken Feathers (played by Francis Ng), is planning to kill her beloved Prince (played by Tian Sheng). She wants prevent this, by killing the assassin first.


She plays Princess Qingcheng in this story where gods and men live side by side in a Kingdom between the Land of Snow and the Barbarian Territory, when the world was young in ''The Promise'' (2005). The poor and starving orphaned girl Qingcheng meets the Goddess Manshen (played by Chen Hong). She accepts his offer to become the wealthy beauty of beauties with the curse that she would lose every man she loves, unless three things are happen: snow is falling in the spring, time moves backwards and the dead come back to life. She is years later empowered by the love of a slave named Kunlun (played by Dong-gun Jang) who helps  the Great Master of the Crimson Armor General Guangming (played by Hiroyuki Sanada) to defeat a barbarian army with almost seven times more warriors. The general asks Kunlun after he is wounded, to wear his armor in order to save the king from the cruel Duke of North Wuhuan.

She plays Phoenix who discovers at the age of 14 that her parents are member of the Secret Society for Martial Arts in ''My Kung Fu Sweetheart'' (2006). She starts martial arts training on very young age in an mountain temple on Mount Hua. Her parents divorce when she grew up and she starts working at the office. One day a new manager joins her company and she discovers that he the man is, who is the love of her life. In the mean time an evil traitor with unbeatable kung fu skills kills business men in the pursuit of building a business empire and is planning to kill her love. She must reunite with her family, to defeat the traitor in order to save the life of her lover.


She plays Mu Guiying who's the wife of Yang Zongbao (played by Richie Ren) in this story set in the eleventh century in China where Emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty has the power over the land in ''Legendary Amazons'' (2011). Yang Zongbao is the last member of the Yang clan whose task it is to protect the Song Dynasty from intruders. Yang tragically dies in a fight when the Song Dynasty is being invaded by armies of the rival state Western Xia. His widowed wife Mu Guiying decides to fight together with other wives of deceased fighters in a battle to save their dynasty.


She plays Yu Mei in this story about a female taxi driver who is joining the Speed Angels racing team, after being recruited by a race car driver coach in ''Speed Angels'' (2011).


She plays actress and martial-arts guru Lucy Lin whose visit to a film festival in Berlin is marred by the unwanted appearance of her ex-fiance Tom Young (played by Seung-hyun Choi) who's also an Korean Interpol agent in ''Out of Control'' (2016). Tom is on the trail of renowned cyber-criminal Bennet Kayser (played by Michael Trevino), who's planning to do a deadly attack on the day of Lucy's new movie premiere. Bennet unleashes a virus that allows him complete control over the fleet of stretch-limousines heading to the red carpet. The villains show no mercy and her hope of survival is pinned on the man who left her at the altar, many years ago.
